The Customs and Excise Department is continuing its digital transformation journey with the successful rollout of an online payment platform that allows users to pay customs duties and charges anytime, anywhere. Customs officials say the platform eliminates bottlenecks, reducing waiting times and improving the overall trading experience for importers, customs brokers, and members of the public. Comptroller of Customs and Excise Sherman Emmanuel says the platform supports one of Customs’ core mandates, trade facilitation.
